As some of you may know (hopefully), that one of the hypothesis for the start of this newsletter was to help develop a daily habit of learning. Building healthy habits as an idea as been in existence for a long time, though it has started trending more actively last few years through science backed research presented by great books like Atomic habits. So where can that help in product management?
Learning, talking to users, data analysis, writing are daily/weekly habits in product management that is fairly obvious. Another great habit is to execute and ship. Shipping fast increases pace of your learning, and while a lot is organization dependent, I think PMs can really drive the pace of work within their area as well. Lot of it is developed through developing speed as a habit.
That is the idea behind today’s post, a lot of it is known advice, but it is put across in a much more coherent structure with examples. Hope you enjoy.
