Promoters over Promotions
Everyone usually works in a company because they love the vision, the work they do, the impact they create and their peers. Not all people however work for those reasons - some alien group obviously work for Linkedin flexes like promotions, money and titles - yes I know we are not in a perfect world.
One of things that usually all companies measure once they scale, and it usually lands up at the desk of a PM is NPS - Net promoter score. Usually increasing promoters also increases chances of promotions - and hence benefits both type of users described above.
Despite the many issues already documented with NPS, it remains the primary metric to track experience worldwide. However, I do find companies these days trying different things, though not to the same effect.
So when I came across a UX design study on the topic (from growth.design which i highly recommend subscribing to), I was expecting the usual criticism of NPS. While it had that rightfully, what I liked was that it goes a step further in designing a great alternative. Do take a look if you want to increase your promotions promoters.
