Where is the ticket for this?
PMs like to curse almost everything they come across generally. Its almost like a pre requisite for the role now. One thing that PMs curse mostly unanimously is Jira and the constant struggle to learn it.
Unless you beat Elon and live on Mars, you would have heard that Jira has been down for around 2 weeks - yes ‘has been’. It is still not fully back for all customers. Given the role Jira has in the modern project stack - this will have huge ramifications that may come up in the coming few months. Many folks have not been able to access mission critical documents which is sure to delay important milestones.
Naturally there are a lot of learnings with such a huge global outage. These are across engineering, leadership and communication through a crisis. There are a lot of escalations on twitter on the poor handling by the Atlassian team and long term ramifications.
